Some info on first aid kit

First aid is the provision of limited care for an illness or injury, which is provided, usually by a lay person, to a sick or injured patient until definitive medical treatment can be accessed, or until the illness or injury is dealt with.

The 4 main aims of first aid, commonly referred to as the “4 Ps” are:
Ø Preserve life
Ø Prevent further injury
Ø Promote recovery
Ø Protect yourself

Conditions that often require first aid
Bleeding
Bone fracture
Burns
Choking
Coma
Cramps
Joint dislocation
Diving disorders
Drowning
Heart attack
Insect and animal bites and stings.
Muscle strain
Poisoning
Sprain
Stroke
Sunburn
Toothache
Wounds
